Corral Boss/ Head Wrangler — Permanent: Year-Round

Corral Boss/Head wrangler  wanted for year around Guest Ranch and Riding stable. We are looking for a person with extensive experience  with horses and people in the Guest Ranch and Riding Stables business. The Corral Boss is directly responsible for supervising and running all aspects of the horse corral operations.  He is the lead man in the corral is responsible for supervising the crew and making sure all their duties are carried out as directed.The Corral Boss is responsible for the care of the livestock including doctoring, feeding schedule, shoeing schedule saddling and tacking, maintaining tack, and maintaining the equipment, machines, and the buildings. One of the most important duties is evaluating the guest and sizing up the horse and rider and picking horses for the guest.The ability to train and ride colts in preparation for the string is also important.The Corral Boss must have the ability to lead, motivate, and supervize the crew to make sure they are accountable for performing their duties as expected.  Great people skills are a must as our business is all about giving our guest a great experience.

The Lodge & Spa at Three Forks Ranch is seeking a couple or two people to host and run our Godfather House, a secluded but high-end hunting camp, for the month of September. Every week there will be 4-6 new hunting guests and their guides.  It is the responsibility of the hosts to cook, clean and maintain the guest cabin and keep the hunting guests happy throughout their stay.  Our Lodge Chef will provide menus and food for each week and all housekeeping supplies, linens, etc., will be provided.

Cooking and cleaning experience is a must.  An outgoing, enthusiastic and friendly personality required.  Ability to work long hours, seven days/week for the entire month is also required.  Applicants must be diligent, organized, accustomed to early mornings, and care about their presentation. Must have a whatever it takes attitude and an eagerness to please!  

Applicants must have a 4WD SUV or Truck in order to get back and forth from the Godfather House and the ranch head quarters, to re-up on supplies between guest weeks. Host Couple/people will live remotely, with no access to cell phones or "normal" conveniences, for the entire month.

Pay based on experience, all lodging and meals provided for entire stay, as well as fuel for personal vehicle when transporting supplies.

Wrangler — Seasonal: Jun 01, 2015 - Oct 01, 2015

We are looking for an employee that is available to work for our entire season. On our ranch, as with most ranches, the length of your workday is dictated by the hours needed to complete the job and we are looking for employees that are flexible and willing to put in a hard days work. We provide a monthly salary, shared room, three meals each day, one day off each week, laundry facilities, internet access and an end of season bonus.  Depending on our bookings for the season, we typically hire 4-6 wranglers to share the responsibilities of the job.

Wranglers are responsible for the care of a cavy of 100 horses, preparing horses for and the guiding of daily trail rides. On the trail wranglers are responsible for the safety of horses and guests. We offer two rides a day approximately two hours in length Monday- Saturday. In addition to the two-hour rides we offer a couple all-day and cookout rides during the week.

Previous horse experience is a necessity. To properly accomplish the job required a wrangler will be responsible and aware; have a clean western look, i.e. cowboy hat, boots, jeans, long-sleeved shirt; develop human relations skills; remember names and faces; communicate effectively on trails; use safety first as a priority, then enjoyment; learn the area of operation i.e. mountain and flower names, geology, history etc.; possess an in-depth knowledge of his horse herd, tack and riding techniques. As a wrangler at the GVRR you will also need to learn the trails and terrain in a 40 square mile area. This area covers portions of Grand Teton National Park, Gros Ventre Wilderness, National Elk Refuge and Bridger Teton National Forest.  Our wranglers are also responsible for assisting in other departments on the ranch and are expected to lend a hand whenever and wherever needed.

Housekeeping/Waitstaff — Seasonal: Jun 01, 2015 - Oct 01, 2015

Our housekeeping and wait staff personnel are a team of about eight individuals. Duties will be split and shared by each member of the team-- typically alternating every other day with four on wait staff and four on housekeeping.

Wait staff duties include, but are not limited to-- daily meal service for about 40 guests in the dining room and in the out of doors, setting up and breaking down before and after each meal, basic preparation for each meal (i.e. restocking salt and pepper shakers, making juices, filling sugar caddies, etc.), the making of sack lunches and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, staff dining room and guest dining room and bar area. Wait staff will be required to rotate between dishwashing duties throughout the week and help assist housekeeping staff when needed.

Housekeeping duties include, but are not limited to-- daily cleaning of our nine guest cabins, our main lodge and washing guest cabin linens each day. Attention to detail is a must, as well as the willingness to dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, make beds, wash and fold laundry and clean toilets, sinks and bathtubs with energy and efficiency. Housekeepers will be required to rotate between two additional responsibilities -- a morning main lodge cleaning and a guest cabin turndown service each night. In addition, housekeepers may be asked to assist wait staff when needed.

The woodsman position is a maintenance type position that involves the felling and limbing of trees and the cutting/splitting/stacking of firewood. The woodsman is also responsible for maintaining any equipment he/she uses. As a maintenance position, woodsman may need to fill in for maintenance on days off, etc. Experience using chainsaws preferred.

We are looking for an individual with fly fishing experience (no teaching experience required, but must be passionate about sharing this sport with others!), as well as an interest in general maintenance. Our guide will teach both children and adults the ins and outs of fly fishing, while keeping our guests safe, comfortable and engaged. Must love interacting with a wide variety of people, and be able to handle working with a large groups of people.
